The Millionaire Fair Moscow October 23-25, 2009
Between the 23rd and 25th of October, the New Manege, one of the most respectable and exclusive exhibition halls in Moscow, dipped into the unique atmosphere of luxury and inimitable style.
The opening of the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009 Light in the City, the most expected event in Moscow high society’s agenda, took place on October 23rd. The guests were able to discover dazzling light shows, sensational premieres and the glare of brilliants. They could also enjoy the haute cuisine prepared by the best Moscow chefs.
To celebrate its 130th anniversary, the House of Sobranie presented a new line of cigarettes designed for those seeking the exceptional and exhibited Sobranie of the Exceptional a unique collection of light objects and art installations from all over the world.
The opening of the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009 featured numerous music, art and design performances presented by Sobranie, such as Mutya Buena (an ex-Sugar Babe, who started her solo career in 2005 and worked with artists like George Michael or Groove Armada, and who is now giving performances all around the world) and The Maneken, a unique music project (Evgeny Filatov played his sets on his Interactive Media Table, an experimental instrument that uses a revolutionary interactive technology to create a mysterious light and music performance).
The Tesla Boy Trio was another premiere of the opening ceremony. This band is often referred to as the main music discovery of 2009.
October 24th was the Exceptional Fashion day. The Russian Fashion Week organizers turned the Manege into the center of Moscow fashion exclusively for the Millionaire Fair. The programme of Fashion in the City included fashion shows by Dasha Gauser, GS by Sabina Gorelik, SV2 и O.K.M. The fur collection by Julia Dilua was a gift to all connoisseurs.
The closing day of the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009 was a delight for car fans. An unforgettable vintage car show took place on October 25th. As part of the Sounds of the City programme, harpist Catherine performed an exclusive Neon Harp concerto.
Just like during the previous exhibitions, connoisseurs were able to purchase the best of what the world’s leading luxury manufacturers could offer at the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009. Dozens of the sensational world premieres took place.
The visitors had a chance to see the renovated concept of the world’s most expensive CUV Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris. Its manufacturing is planned for 2010; exactly as the Dutch company Spyker presented it at the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009. A number of other exclusive cars, such as Russia’s only supercar Saleen S7, were shown, too.
MAS Yachts presented MAS 28 Elegance whose sophisticated and elegant design accumulated admired stares of dozens of people. The yacht is equipped with 425 horsepower engine that allows for cruising at 50 knots, which makes MAS 28 Elegance the best yacht in its class.
The Da Vinci Company presented a collection of unique haute horlogerie chronometers by Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Officine Panerai and Van Cleef & Arpels.
The stand of the International Equestrian Industry Holding drew particular attention as it showed the horses of Andalusian, Frisian, Akhal-Teke and Hannover breeds. A special indoor arena was erected in the Manege for master classes and shows.
Dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the house of Sobranie, the Sobranie Millionaire Fair 2009 was named the classiest event of 2009. About 35 thousand people visited the elite show over these three days. The list of visitors included celebrities such as Ulyana Tseitlina, Maria Konte, Ksenia Marchenkova, Georgy Petrushin, Elena Yarmak, Olga Sviblova, Elena Ishcheyeva, Alexander Tolmatsky, Anastasia Potanina, Konstantin and Elena Remchukov, Anton Viner, Sofya Trotsenko, Artemy Troitsky, Irina Khakamada, Victoria Adrianova, Elena Kozyreva, Julia Dalakian, Nikas Safronov, Aurora, Sinisha Lazarevich, Svetlana Konegen, Maria Kravtsova, Mitya Fomin, Prokhor Shalyapin, Katya Lee, Alexander Peskov, Katya Lel, Arash, Olga Kurbatova, Karnelia Mango, Andrey Razygrayev and many others.
